bibhuti bhattacharya Photography

Bibhuti Bhushan Bhattacharya was born in Lucknow. He studied fashion design at NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology), Kolkata and followed it up with stints at major fashion houses and brands.

In the years that followed, Bibhuti travelled across India and the world only to realise that there was a part of him that wanted to break free. With a decade of experience in designing, it was but natural for him to pick up a camera. Ideas and concepts came to life through his view finder. He devoted his time looking for freedom and tranquility and something that did not endear him to a life of chaos and materialism.

In 2009, he started shooting a designer’s collection for Wills India Fashion Week and Lakme Fashion Week. The images from these partnerships were used in major picture catalogues, magazines and newspapers across the country.

In 2010, Bibhuti created a series of expansively composed colour photographs for corporate houses and agencies. His imagery was exhibited in Delhi.

His photographs are not radical, but they are honest. They border on a thin magical line that separates reality from idealism. Finally, his background in fashion and travel across continents has  found an expression in his images.

Design unique styles for your website

April 22nd, 2011 | pixpa

Photographers know the importance of having a portfolio. It is important for them to have a portfolio that establishes who they are as well as what their passion is. We, at Pixpa, understand it and make it happen.

Choosing the preset design of your website is simple and easy.  Check out the following tutorial video to understand how you can choose and change the preset design of your website.

After successfully choosing a preset design, take yourself to the next level of customisation. Design your portfolio and have fun with it. Show the world your ability to design and tell them your ideas. Why hesitate? Take a closer look at the Design options.

The first tab is the Layout tab on which you can design the structure/framework of your website. Starting from the position of logo and  menus to  font design, title size and color, background color or image to header and footer colour schemes. Opacity is the  opposite of transparency; so if you make opacity zero it becomes completely transparent. If you don’t want a special color scheme, do make opacity zero to make it completely invisible.

The second tab is Menu tab, which consists of Primary & Secondary Navigation text. Primary Navigation is your main menu options while the Secondary Navigation is the drop down link which opens up on clicking the Primary Menu. You can customise the Menu BG color to give a contrasting effect or make opacity zero for no effect. The hover color is the color you want it to change to when a visitor hovers the mouse on that menu option. Hovers too should be contrasting like black + white, Green + Yellow, Yellow + Red etc…

The third tab is Galleries tab with which  you can customise border of your images, color, size , position , opacity to thickness & background etc. It also allows you to customise photo info page and  you can insert a short description about the image.

The fourth tab is Pages tab which allows to customise the pages (pretty obvious). You can customise Contact, About, and other pages and arrange it the way you had planned.

The fifth tab is Elements tab which covers custom welcome text .

Preview your website change by using preview button after saving your design. Don’t forget to make a copy of your style and naming it.

Tips:

  1. Give it a contrasting effect by choosing different colour schemes or a savvy background image.
  2. If most of your images are on a white background, then choose a white background with zero stage opacity to make your image part of the website .
  3. Any color scheme can be dumped using zero opacity.
  4. If you have made a mess of the design then simply delete the design and choose the same preset design again. It is similar to the reset to default function.
  5. You can change almost everything you see, start building your styles and get noticed.
